MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF

The officers of the Erwin Police Department would like to thank you for visiting our website. We are proud to protect and serve our citizens and take this responsibility very seriously. Our department is staffed with the best and brightest of officers to serve our town. We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for our residents, while improving quality of life.

 

The department has 12 full time sworn Police Officers, all of whom are certified by the State of Tennessee. The Patrol Division has 10 Officers with 3 Supervisors, and the Criminal Investigation Division has 1 Investigator. The department has 4 Clandestine drug lab certified Officers for our own drug lab team, and has a drug lab certified officer on each patrol shift.

Be wary of sending money you received in the form of a check to Western Union, especially out of the country. These are scam artists, and counterfeit checks, and you will be out the money!

 

Don’t be a Victim: Don’t leave your valuables, pocketbooks or money in your vehicle or leave the keys in it. Always lock your doors! Thieves look for the easy targets. Free security checks of your home or business--just contact the Police Department.
